”Off the Vine”
In its 34th season the Cafe Cortina Garden is continuously nurtured. Master Gardeners Ann & Scott are preparing the soil, pruning grape vines and cultivating strands of heirloom tomatoes for next years planting. The passion and labor of love of all at Cafe Cortina will make for a bountiful 2011 harvest...

Adrian Tonon brought his energy and entrepreneurial flair to Orchards kids and families by partnering with Beaumont Hospital’s Nutrition and Retail Services to create Food First.  Working with our Oakland County Families Together Building Solutions (FTBS) staff, Tonon and Christine Eagle, Beaumont’s Clinical Nutrition Manager, offered families strategies for budgeting and preparing healthy meals using fresh ingredients.

Napa Valley
A recent trip to Napa Valley in search of new inspirations proved to be a highlight of the year. A stop at many of Northern California's 'artisan vineyards' such as Darioush, Kelham, Hall, Revana and Celani Family Vineyards, where Michigan's Tom and Vicky Celani opened their home for a truly memorable evening that was cherished by all. Restaurants such as Michael Chiarello ‘Bottega’ and ‘The Farm’ lived up to their culinary expectations.
